Club Ballroom and Ballroom DanceSport Kids perform at their Spotlight Dance at Club Ballroom after a 12 week dance session. Lots of fun was had!

Fransisco Foquera and Natalia Hills come to Club Ballroom

Fransisco Foquera and Natalia Hills came to Club Ballroom to teach a wonderful Argentine Tango dance workshop. Fransisco and Natalia are considered the world's most acclaimed Argentine Tango dancers, and after Saturday's workshops we can all see why!
Here are a few of their laudable achievements:

• Principal dancers in "Forever Tango" on Broadway, London, and Paris
• Featured worldwide in "Tango Passion" (Hollywood Bowl - Las Angeles Philharmonic)
• Performed by special invitation for Princess Diana Spencer at the British Embassy in Buenos Aries
  

Needless to say, this couple was fantastic! We had a brief respite after the workshops then headed to the Greek Orthodox Church in Bridgeport for Bob Beslove's monthly dance where Fransisco and Natalia were the featured dancers of the month (check out this article written about one of Bob's recent dances). Ian and Kelly did their Argentine Tango routine (seen here....sorry about the poor quality) as the "opening act." Then the real show began. Fransisco and Natalia did four amazing routines. Unfortunately, there is no video of the dances because they are top secret and they didn't want them ending up on youtube. The night ended with Bob and Michael presenting Fransisco and Natalia with a plaque commemorating that day which the mayor named "Fransisco Foquera and Natalia Hills day"

Grand Opening Party Success!!!

The grand opening night for Ballroom Dancesport moving to Westport was a great success! Thank you to all who came to make it a wonderful evening! We look forward to more evenings of dancing...Don't forget, we will be dancing every Thursday evening and every 2nd Saturday of the month! Here are a few photos...more will be coming!

Ballroom Dancesport Moves to WESTPORT!!

Ballroom Dance parties held every Thursday evening, every 2nd Saturday of the month and on Fridays (1st and 3rd Fridays of the month). Hope to see you dancing with us soon!

Ballroom Dancesport, previously located in Southport, will move to Downtown Westport at 44 Main Street into the old Klein Building (located next to the YMCA).

The Dance Workshop for ARGENTINE TANGO SERIES will start on this night. The series will run for 17 weeks from May 21st to September 24th...Mondays 7:45 to 8:30. The cost series is $200.
